Acetaminophen 325 mg/Dextromethorphan 10 mg/Doxylamine __ mg) liquicaps

Compared to Nyquil Cold & Flu

How the medication works:

Acetaminophen fights against pain by stopping the central (in brain) production of prostaglandins, which are important substances to cause swelling , and by increasing the pain tolerance. It fights against fever by stopping fever producing substances at the hypothalamus. Dextromethorphan works by decreasing activity in the part of the brain that causes coughing. Doxylamine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. This medication will only relieve symptoms, and it will not treat the cause.
